The Horseshoe Joshua Tree - Hwy 395 - California

From a distance, Skip Gorman’s Horseshoe Joshua Tree can fool you into thinking it’s a real Joshua Tree. As you get closer, you stop. “Wait a minute, there’s something different about that tree,” you may say to yourself.

Gorman has a shop in nearby Ridgecrest, where he does metal fabrication. If you need a pflushlunger doohicky, he’s the man to see. The Joshua Tree he created out of old horseshoes and other spikey pieces of metal is amazing. Keep your eyes open as you drive south on Hwy 395, it’s on the west side of the highway. That’s all the hint I’ll give, but a tiny amount of googlegoogletypetype will reveal its location.

And I apparently have to stop here again the next time I’m in the area, ‘cause I didn’t look in the box! D’oh! 😧
