Eastern Sierra Nevada Fall Colors - California

Exploratography Date: October of 2013

I had the opportunity to take a week off in October (2013), and I made the most of it (2,000+ miles on my truck). I visited a number of places I'd never been, and some that I had, all mostly along I-395 in California and I-95 in Nevada. I was hoping to catch some of the Fall Color show in the Eastern Sierras, and while I did see some very pretty country and colors, I think I missed the peak by a week or ten days. Here are a few of the pictures I took along Bishop Creek, Rock Creek, Lundy Canyon and Silver Lake. Looking forward to the next time I’m able to find some color in the Sierra Nevadas.

I think I need some more practice with shooting in the snow.

Thank you for looking at all the pictures!
