Driving along Pinto Basin Road, your eyes tend to wander, looking for something interesting that you haven’t seen before.

“What was that, way up that canyon?” are probably words you’ve said at some point. Then the trick is, find a place to safely pull off to park, so you can climb into that canyon and see what you can find. That’s led to many an adventure.

Off in the distance, what appeared to be a line of white against the dark background of the rocky hills. After finding a place to park, hiking up a canyon revealed an interesting clump of large, quartz boulders, reminiscent of those near Twin Tanks. Could these be part of the same vein? Twin Tanks was quite a distance away, but anything is possible in JT.

At the top right of this image, there appears to be yet another line of white. Will have to revisit and see what else is up there to find.
