Stone Walls + Iron Door - California Gold Country
The stone ruins of a gold rush era building, complete with protective iron doors, which helped provide safety against fire and theft. This building was most likely used as storage for one of the nearby businesses. Remarkably well preserved, except for the missing roof. There are several other historic buildings in this small town, nicely restored and some still in use, a bit off the beaten path. Awesome name for the place as well, Copperopolis. Hmm, wonder what they found here besides gold?
