Trabucco Warehouse - California Gold Country

One of my favorite Hwy 49 buildings to photograph, the Trabucco Warehouse just always seemed to talk to me. It was built by Christopher Kerrin, who later sold it to John Trabucco for use as a warehouse. Trabucco was a successful merchant in southern mines and had stores in several of the nearby mining camps. The building dates back from before 1866, as it survived a disastrous fire that year, no doubt due to its brick construction and heavy iron doors.
