Wilkerson’s Country Store - Rt 66 - New Mexico

This picture was taken in 2014, I’m not sure if any of the old adobe building is still standing. Wilkerson’s served the local area and travelers along Route 66 up until 1989, when the store closed due to a lack of business. As a country store, they supplied ice, groceries and Gulf gas. The roof is sagging, as the adobe bricks used in the walls slowly “melt” away.
