It’s been a while since anything was flushed at this old store/garage. I’ve seen a picture of this location taken in 2005, and while the structures were in much better condition, they were obviously closed up and shut down at that time.

That picture showed an awning still standing in front of these two buildings that would have provided shade for anyone parked beneath. There was also a wooden structure to the right of the stone building, but it is gone now. The cement block building was most likely added after the construction of the stone building. A wood-framed second story may possibly have also been part of stone house.

I think the stone building serves more as a barrier today, to keep people out of the lot behind. There is fencing all around the large lot and machinery and supplies inside, so someone is still using the property for something.

This viewpoint shows that the back of the cement block building is long gone. The two cement footings in the foreground held the posts which supported the wood-frame awning that once kept things shady, definitely a help during most of the year.

I wonder how long it would take to build such a place.

Thanks for visiting with me, if anyone has any information or early pictures of this neat old place, please leave a comment below. I’d love to add some older photos to this post.
