Crookton Overpass - Rt 66 - Arizona
Crookton Overpass, a concrete stringer bridge over BNSF Railroad on Crookton Road (Old Route 66). It’s open to pedestrians, but has been closed to traffic for many years. The newer bridge next to this one was opened in 1956. Maybe it’s time for a third bridge?
It was definitely fun to walk across this old bridge, especially when a train went by underneath!
The ATSF and the BNSF both utilize this set of tracks.
