Desert Oasis Flea Market - Arizona

Not an abandoned building, but looks like it’s been abandoned for anything other than storage. I’ll bet there have been some very interesting things for sale inside this little building over the years. But wait, there’s more! Just to the east of this building is what appears to be today’s version of the Flea Market.

Google street view from March of 2021.

I pulled up in front of the gate, which was open, and walked on in. Two friendly ladies were sitting in the shade and we chatted for a bit, I believe one of them was the owner. I was quite interested in the large artwork on the property. They were created out of old water tanks and are very cool. And tall.

I wandered about the tables which were filled with neat old stuff for sale and bought a small tin. I can’t seem to pass up old tins with vintage artwork.

I timed it about right, as the lady said they would probably be closing down for the summer within a few weeks, just too hot to try to stay open out in the sun.

Definitely worth the stop, some interesting items scattered about. Fun to look at and photograph, and nice people to talk with.
